This Privacy Policy describes how CHRD Enterprises LLC (“Chrd,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, processes, stores, transfers, discloses, shares, protects, and otherwise handles Personal Information in connection with your access to and use of the Chrd mobile application, website, communication systems, booking functionality, messaging systems, moderation systems, recommendation systems, event discovery services, media tools, payment-related services, and all related products and services (collectively, the “Platform”).
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Platform including venues, musicians, performers, artists, organizations, fans, visitors, contractors, and individuals who access or interact with the Platform.
By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Privacy Policy.
1. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
Chrd may collect Personal Information directly from users, automatically through use of the Platform, through third-party integrations, through moderation or support submissions, and through interactions relating to the Platform.
Information collected may include names, usernames, biography information, account credentials, contact information, profile photos, videos, recordings, event listings, booking details, transaction records, messages, communication metadata, device identifiers, IP addresses, operating system information, browser information, geolocation data, analytics information, push notification identifiers, payment-related information, moderation submissions, and social media account information where users connect third-party accounts.
2. How We Use Personal Information
Chrd may process Personal Information for purposes including operating, maintaining, securing, and improving the Platform; facilitating bookings, communications, transactions, and user interactions; supporting event discovery and personalized experiences; providing customer support; sending notices, alerts, updates, and marketing communications; monitoring analytics and performance; detecting fraud, abuse, harassment, impersonation, unlawful conduct, and security incidents; enforcing Platform policies; conducting moderation and safety investigations; and complying with legal obligations.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where required under applicable law, Chrd processes Personal Information based on user consent, performance of contractual obligations, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate business interests, fraud prevention and security purposes, and protection of users, the Platform, and public safety.
4. Communications and Messaging
The Platform may permit users to exchange messages, booking inquiries, event details, media, recordings, and communications.
Users acknowledge and agree that communications transmitted through the Platform may be monitored, reviewed, stored, or disclosed where reasonably necessary to enforce Platform policies, investigate misconduct, comply with legal obligations, or protect user safety.
Communications may be processed through third-party communication providers and notification providers.
5. Platform Safety, Moderation, Reporting, and Enforcement
Chrd may collect, review, preserve, disclose, and process Personal Information where reasonably necessary to enforce Platform policies and Community Standards; investigate harassment, abuse, fraud, impersonation, intellectual property violations, payment disputes, or unlawful conduct; review reports submitted through Platform reporting functionality; protect users and public safety; prevent harm to users, third parties, or the Platform; and comply with legal obligations and lawful requests.
The Platform may provide reporting, moderation, account restriction, and safety-related functionality allowing users to report misconduct, abusive behavior, fraud, unsafe conduct, impersonation, copyright violations, or violations of Platform policies.
6. Payments and Financial Information
Payment-related services may be provided through third-party payment processors including Stripe.
Chrd does not directly store complete payment card information. Payment-related information is processed and stored by third-party providers subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and security practices.
7. Device Permissions and Location Information
The Platform may request access to location services, camera access, media library access, microphone access, notification permissions, and Bluetooth or nearby device permissions where
applicable.
Location information may be used for event discovery, venue matching, geographic search functionality, recommendations, fraud prevention and security monitoring, and user experience improvements.
Users may manage device permissions through device-level settings.
8. Cookies, SDKs, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies
Chrd and third-party providers may use cookies, SDKs, analytics tools, pixels, APIs, log files, and similar technologies to authenticate users, maintain sessions, remember preferences, measure engagement and performance, improve Platform functionality, analyze usage behavior and trends, deliver notifications or promotional content, and detect fraud and security incidents.
Third-party providers may include Firebase, Supabase, OneSignal, Stripe, Google Analytics, cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, and related services.
9. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
Chrd may share Personal Information with other users in connection with bookings, communications, profiles, or event interactions; third-party vendors and service providers; payment processors including Stripe; analytics providers; cloud hosting providers; communication providers; professional advisors; legal authorities; regulators; courts; law enforcement agencies; investors; lenders; acquirers; successors; affiliates; or related entities in connection with financings, mergers, acquisitions, or business transfers.
Chrd does not sell Personal Information to third parties for monetary compensation.
10. App Store Privacy Labels and Platform Disclosures
Chrd may collect and process information categories disclosed through Apple App Store Privacy Labels, Google Play Data Safety disclosures, and related Platform privacy disclosures.
Users acknowledge that Platform functionality, integrations, permissions, and data practices may evolve over time and Chrd intends for Platform behavior and disclosures to remain reasonably consistent with this Privacy Policy.
11. User Rights and Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their accounts and associated Personal Information by contacting Chrd support at support@chrd.app.
Chrd may require verification of identity prior to processing deletion requests.
Depending on applicable law, users may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection to certain processing activities, data portability, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security purposes, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, or business and operational records.
12. Data Retention
Chrd retains Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the Platform, provide services and support, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain business and operational records, and protect the security and integrity of the Platform.
13. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not intended for individuals under eighteen (18) years of age. Chrd does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under eighteen.
If Chrd becomes aware that Personal Information has been collected from an individual under eighteen, Chrd may take steps to delete such information and terminate associated accounts.
14. Security
Chrd implements commercially reasonable administrative, technical, organizational, and security safeguards designed to protect Personal Information.
However, no system, network, method of electronic transmission, or method of storage is completely secure. Accordingly, Chrd cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to, through, or stored on the Platform.
15. International Transfers
Personal Information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in jurisdictions outside a user’s state, province, or country of residence, including jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws.
By accessing or using the Platform, users consent to such transfers where permitted by applicable law.
16. Third-Party Links and Integrations
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, applications, services, integrations, or technologies not controlled by Chrd.
Chrd is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, content, or policies of third-party services.
17. California Privacy Rights
Where applicable under California law, California residents may have rights relating to access, deletion, correction, and limitation of certain processing activities relating to Personal Information.
California residents may contact support@chrd.app regarding applicable privacy rights requests.
18. Changes to this Privacy Policy
Chrd reserves the right to modify, amend, or update this Privacy Policy at any time.
Updated versions become effective upon posting unless otherwise specified. Continued use of the Platform following modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
